Hi,

I've seen a few of you have had your windows tinted. I am looking to get a 94 cooper tinted and wanted to know if anyone else has any recommendations in the Lancashire area? I am in Preston.. So far i've had 1 quote of £145 btu i don't know if that includes taking out the windows. Then another place said it would be £95 for the tint but i'd have to pay some other company £150 to take the glass out and put back in.

So i wanted to use somewhere that has experience with minis. Can anyone help?

many thanks,
Heidi

At this price you can afford quite abit of trial & error.

I've never heard of taking the glass out to tint it. It would get bloody expensive to do that on a modern car.

Keep looking around to find a place that'll do it fitted to the car. Are you rear side windows opening ones? If so they're only 4 screws to take them out.

I paid about £40 to have my back 3 tinted, but I had the glass removed while the car was sprayed.

£95 sounds about right, but for that i'd want them to do it with the glass fitted to the car!

apparently they have to take the glass out on the new Audi a6! the rear windows are the opening type, some people on here who've done it and removed the glass, the rear windows are the opening ones yes, but they say you have to take the silver stuff off too. I just wouldn't want to part with £100 plus and have a gap around the edge. I think i'll wait to hear from a few other companies i've only spoken to 2 .... waiting to hear back from others.

Mine got taken out,(and proppa places do) then you get the tint over the edge of glass,
so rear and two side rears out (and out of the chrome bezel) tinted and baked on, by a pro
£95
