I wouldnt have one, utter crap cheap Fiat rubbish.......

Here are some things to look out for.

This model shares all of its major components with the previous generation model, which suffered below-average reliability. Fiat should have ironed-out some of the niggles, but Punto still lags behind.

Car check problem points
Body
Paint chips easily, door seals can fail leading to water leaks.
Engine/Gearbox
Hesitancy and misfiring when starting from cold.
Other
Premature rear suspension wear, electronics fails, so check radio, electric windows and lights.

Im sure there are better cars for the money out there.......

Well, theyre italian, so electrics are not the strongest point lol...

one good thing to check.... clutch, if it feels heavy steer clear as its likely to be on its way out, and when they get low they have a tendancy to snap clutch cables.

engine wise they are actually pretty sturdy, and not overly prone to rust as Fiats are galvanised.

if you look at any KA's check the inner and outer sills for rust.... the early ones rot like a goodun!!

at best you're looking at a 2-2.5k car there, for that you can get a very good vw. either lupos polos or golfs.... lupos are fantastic too. the 1.0l gets a good 55 mpg
