I ordered a pair of new calipers from Somerford which today I am trying to fit.

Problem 1 is that one pad is touching the disk and the other has a few mm of clearance.

Problem 2 is the other caliper where the metal lip which holds in the seal isn't flush with the surface, so I can't even get the disk in....

Thoughts and advice welcome?

Should I just send both calipers back??

I would speak to Somerford as if you do any grinding to obtain clearance and then need to return them for another fault they could say you should have phoned us before you did anything. Calipers and pads should fit as supplied.

Ring them up and explain the problem is my advice
