I just dumped $3200 for new parts. It's going to be a sweet ATV once finished. Here's the parts list:
Clarke 5.5 gallon (US) desert tank, natural color....so I can see the fuel level just by looking at it
Aftermarket oversized aluminum radiator
Maier radiator shroud (black)
LoneStar Racing A-Arms/Tie-rods
Toomey T6 pipes/silencers
ITP Baja rear wheels, 8" polished
ITP polished front wheels, 10"
ITP Holeshot MXR6 tires all around
Pro Peg Nerf Bars, black nets
Renthal handlebars
Motion Pro TORs removal kit, Motion Pro twist throttle, Motion Pro stainless braided clutch cable
Ricky Stator high output stator
Procom CDI box
New wiring harness
Durablue Eliminator axle
RAD Manufacturing twin row billet rear bearing carrier
Master rebuild kit for the swingarm
Renthal front (14) and rear (41) sprocket
RK X-ring HD chain
New airbox lid
K&N Air Filter mounted on a Pro-Flow adapter
Matoon Machine billet stator cover
Polished OEM clutch cover
Matoon Machine billet clutch cover inserts
Pro Design billet water impeller
Blue silicone coolant hoses
DG front bumper
Alloy desert rear grab bar
Trail Tech headlights
YFZ450 front shocks
IMS shifter peg
All new bearings for the front hubs
Stainless Braided front brake lines (extended to match the A-Arms)
Renthal grips
White Bros. Boost Bottle
V Force 3 reeds
ASV clutch lever
Devol billet kick starter
and much, MUCH more.....
The frame is a 1993 that was powdercoated metallic purple, it looks great. The A-Arms were just powdercoated in Silvervein for the lowers and Powder Chrome for the uppers....I had the swingarm and tie rods powdercoated black. I still have to get new plastic (fenders) for it....I'm gonna go with white.
The engine is a Trinity Racing 420cc stroker and is a good runner. Sounds real mean! The Toomey's will likely sound MUCH better than the FMFs I was running on it back in 2007.
Right now it's pretty stripped down. My garage is a mess but once I can get some stuff cleaned up out here I'll take a bunch of pics and post them up. You guys are gonna love this beast!

(The little cart Roofless left at my old pad in Flempton serves as a VERY nice stand for my Banshee!)

What year was yours?
This Banshee I have was originally a 1987....the original frame was bent all over the place. I got a '93 frame in order to switch from J-Arms to A-Arms and for this build I'm updating the entire wiring to 2002-up specs. Newer parts are just plain easier to find for them. My first Banshee was a White/Red 2000 model year, sadly it got stolen years back. I bought this one in Georgia for $1650, it was complete and could be rode....but it wasn't taken care of at all. That was around 2006/7 if I remember correctly. Then my wife & I got orders to move to the UK and it sat in storage in the US till last year. I managed to scrape together the coin to order nearly all the parts needed to finish at once. I'm hoping to have it very VERY close to finished by July.

I ordered a billet alloy rear sprocket hub, my stock cast hub was apparently bent! Once I get that hub I can put the fresh 41 tooth Renthal chainwheel on and commence finishing up the rear axle install....bottom line is I'll have this monster on fresh rubber soon enough.
After I get it rolling I'll be able to focus a little on the engine. It's pretty dirty and needs degreased and pressure washed. I'm a stickler for things being CLEAN.
I had to go back to the OEM gas tank for the time being, the 5.5 gallon Clarke tank needs fiddled with to get a good fit. What a pain. So, now that I'm going to use the stock tank for awhile it'll need a fresh petcock and fuel filter...as well as an OEM tank shroud. On a side note I found a local Honda/Yamaha dealer that charges around $40 to use their dyno! That's SICK! My initial guess is as it was when I bought it it was pushing close to 60 horse to the rear wheels. I'll be changing the FMF pipes to a new set of Toomey T6's as well as advancing the timing and adding a cool head and some bigger jets for the carbs. It should have no issues pushing around 70ish horse to the rear wheels. Stock they are around 35.
I'll post some more pics once I get some more progress made....right now it's just a project surrounded by tools, parts and more parts! :)

Ok! Not sure if anyone is still following this thread...but here's some more pics of the build. Many things in these photos will change as I'm still test fitting parts and just generally making sure things are going to bolt up properly before final assembly.

Well, I pulled the clutch cover this morning. Turns out the idler gear has a worn out bushing, I found the circlip and the claw washer sitting in some sludge at the bottom of the clutch cover. Thankfully it appears nothing was damaged. Time to order an aftermarket steel bushing (the OEM version is bronze) and a fresh circlip. Hopefully when I pull the clutch I'll find nothing else messed up.
