Cheers. A reflection of all the hard work my mate put in to get it all sorted.

Still plenty of jobs to do!

Yes three mini's is definitely too much!! :ohno:

.... So why then despite already owning two, do I find myself looking through Ebay and the classified ads here for yet another one?  >_<

The race car is mine, George is for my lad who is 17 in November so I am just running it in for him! And the bare metal complete rebuild is my 15 year old lads.

Having owned some great sports cars including 4 TVRs I have realised that a mini is JUST as much fun , and I fear number 4 will be a road car for me !!!

A picture from the happy day.

I'd better get those other 2 white minilites shod with new tyres and fitted to the front, and crack on with some paintwork (bonnet and boot for starters).

Progress update; all 4 minilites on (one with a very slow leak; grr) but the L2B ticket has arrived.

Front inside floorpan painted with matching Island Blue cellulose, so just the rear to do, then fit sound deadening, wet vac the carpets and refit, plus refit the centre console, radio, rear speakers, and all important CB radio, then a quick wash and polish and we're good to go!

Hope the rain eases off the next few evenings, or it'll be a busy Saturday!

Shame I won't get time to paint the bonnet and boot, but they don't look TOO bad as-is.

Mike

Long time since I updated this.

George was all sorted and did a 1,000 mile round trip to the Nurburgring last month, and the only niggle was an oil leak (suspect engine to gearbox oil seal) so we wipped out the engine and threw in the one I've been saving for the bare shell restoration.

Ready for a trip to Coombe now, and roll on November when my eldest can start learning to drive!

blimey; long time no update!

The car has been used most days, done IMM last year, a trip to the Ring, and a few other mini-related long journeys, and not missed a beat.

My lad has decided to invest some of his hard earned in a 7.5" disc conversion, set of 10" A008's and has painted a set of 5J wellers we had "in stock".

.. and I've chopped off the front end so he's busy painting that in the hope I can get it back on in time for Brands on Sunday, so no pressure ...

Photo's to follow.

Not been able to update this since the lad went of to Uni, but now he is back he has seen his Christmas present!

George was stripped, welded in lots of places, then had a full respray by Mr Clubby Hubby (thanks Rob)

New bumpers, windscreen, rubbers etc as part of the refit.

Here's a couple of pics

Cheers. It's not a show queen but looks a lot better in one colour and has proved to be bullet proof reliable. Even managed a faultless 1000 mile trip to the ring with a few quality cars
