Hi all, I'm trying to decide which final drive to use for my standard (except LCB & RC40) 998cc engine. I have a choice of two gearboxes, one with a 3.1 or 3.4 FD. Now I realise a 3.4 is usually the one to go for, but this is for autosolo's, and it seems only first gear is used, so rather than screem the dangly bits off an almost standard engine, I was thinking the 3.1 would be better. By the way, I will be using either 12 or 13 wheels. I don't want to spend any money on it as I will be using a 1275 when I've finished building it.. What FD would you guys use?

i can confirm the first is too short in the tests, but theres not a great difference between 3.1 and 3.44..
