Other than those you can find substitutes so there's no really hard to find piece that I've come across a friend of mine recently bought a mk1 with all paperwork for £250 which I think was dirt cheap
Edit: You can buy every panel besides the roof

Obviously the more original you want it, the more it will cost. Unless you have got most of the bits to start with.

Go to the M-Machine web site and download their catalogue on-line. It's all in there with prices.
If you are rebuilding a Mk.1 PM me and I might be able to help with some parts.

Impossible question to answer. However, over the years well restored and original classics have always gone up in value given time. In 1985 a Cooper 'S' Mk.1 could be bought for around £2000 in top condition. Now you will pay upwards of £18000 for a similar car. A fully restored 1962 Mk.1 850 in standard condition recently sold from a classic dealer near me for £10500. The same is true with other classics such as Mk.1 Cortina GT and Lotus-Cortina, etc. It is largely down to how well the restoration is done and how original it is in terms of specification and finish.well hopefully one day i will find one and get one for the right price. lets say i brought one next week and i kept it for 10 years what would it be worth then restored? would i be investing or loosing out. will they get more expensive as the years go on?

What do you want, a mini to drive or a retirement fund? They won't be making any more Mk. 1's so they have to become more scarce and thus more valuable. However; a Mk. 1 or any other model is a car - a means of transport and potentially, a lot of fun along the way. If you want long term profit then you need a 100% correct restoration and then you will need to keep the car in perfect storage for many years. If that's what you want then fine.
Me? I would rather drive it and enjoy the ride.

If you still looking for a mk1 steering wheel I still have 3 N/OS in plastic bags.....
If that was to me then yes, I am still looking and if you don't mind I'm interested

On another note, starter buttons are a pain to get hold off
