Hi there,
ive recently removed the head off my engine and replaced the head gasket, i torqued up the head and put back on the rocker shaft, do i need to adjust the rockers before i try and start it up and how ?

yes you do, using the rule of nine, as its refered to. the haynes manual covers this in good detail, I advise getting a copy.
remember to retorque the head after its first heat cycle.
