the topic pritty much sums it up just wondering if they do lowering bracket for it cant seem to find any apart from the older cars or do these fit ?

Can't seem to find any for my '97 Mpi with airbag... Don't know if you have the same, it doesn't say your year

If you have any luck, I would be interested too as I don't like the upright "bus driver" feel at the mo

yeah mine has the airbag too 2000 model mpi.. iv been looking for the past 3 year for them cant see to find them i was also thinking about making my own but not sure if it would effect the colum movement and thats the reason there is non

Only Wood and Pickett offered lowering brackets for the MPi models i believe. It does mean your airbag is not in the designed place, which means if it deploys it won't hit you where it's meant to.

Does anyone make a solid lowering bracket for the SPI (or any Mini besides the MPi)? I have the classic style and I feel its not all that strong and adds in the wheel flex.

I second this an to pass an MOT now, any car that came with an airbag, must have it fitted and functioning (ie, the SRS light goes off after start up)

I've just fitted the Minispeed one onto mine and its made quite an improvement.
I have MG TF seats fitted so they're lower than the standard ones, therefore the drop was well needed.

I did however fit longer bolts than they supply due to it being too much of a fiddly operation to get the bracket screwed into the receiving holes as its a moving plate!
