11 years ago, our springer cost £150. Admittedly, he's utterly retarded.
We adopted a 1 year old chocolate lab, that cost the people that bought her. £900!

i know £500-£1000 may seem like allot for "just a cat" but you wouldnt think twice about spending that on an engine or a paint job, and thats for a car you might only use a handfull of times a year. this little beauty is going to be waiting for you to get home every day and will give you endless love and affection.
hell, i spent over a grand on my youngest cat and he has only got 3 legs!

It never ceases to amaze me the cost of animals,

as i said above, i know they are expensive, but i dont see why an animal should be any less valuable than a car/huge 3d tv/mountain bike/guitar (or whatever your into)
you have to remember, they are actually alive! real living things capable of independent thought! thats very special and surely makes it very valuable?

I love my dogs, I wouldn't trade them for the world.

I couldn't justify it on a cat as I'm not a cat person

The one on the right is 11 and has just completed chemo therapy, he is now cancer free woo!

it just sounds a lot but then when you put it like that it's not so badi know they are normally bonkers but this one is as good as gold! its quite a lap cat really.

The Bengal was very very clever and very attentive, the Toyger was thick as two short planks but extremely adorable. Amazing cats and I miss them like mad.
If you decide to go for one I would definitely recommend Gaynor at http://www.queenannecats.co.uk/ excellent breeder and has some of the best cats in the country.
Here's George:
