I have decided to sell my Austin Mini, with very much deep regret, but as my wife put it ‘dear have you married me or the mini’!!
The Car is the standard 998cc engine with a beautiful engine, gearbox and clutch. It is registered in 1984 with very low mileage of only 38,000mileage. I purchased it of a lady who kept it on her drive since 2005 and prior to that it belonged to her Canadian husband. Since 2005 it had simply done two miles from the Mot station and back. The VOSA gov check confirms this via their website.
I then purchased it about 6months ago and have restored it slowly; I have done the following work:
Front shock absorbers, all round drums and shoes, rear brake plates, new front ball joints, front windscreen rubber replacement, door hinge rubber, Power-spark electronic ignition, Power-spark HT leads, Master Slave Cylinder replaced, New Heater Matrix with fully reconditioned Heater Box,
Wipac Foglights x4 with dust covers, fully serviced, engine timing recently done and wielding done on the chassis. I will also be fitting a leather centre console and arm rest and rear speakers, if I get a chance, or these will be sold with the car. The only work left is the driveshaft gaiter needs replacing and the gearbox oil seal which I have purchased but not yet fitted. All parts have been brought from Old School Minis in Birmingham-who have been a great help.
The body needs a good re-spray and it will come out pukka-but I will leave this to the lucky person who buys it. It comes with a beautiful set of mini light 12” alloys with four matching tyres done less than a 100 miles.
It comes with 5 ½ months tax, 6-7months mot and Log book with one set of keys to the car.

looking back at your previous posts you said about an unusual noise when driving has this been sorted?
how much tax and mot has it got exactly and how bads the rust?
