Any brake bleeding tips for the rear when pressure limiting valve is fitted to rear subby?
Setup as follows:
Front mini sport 4 pots 7.5 discs master cylinder s type
Single line system s type pressure limiting valve on rear subframe
Superfin drums 1/2 inch rear cylinders
Fronts bleed fine , rears no fluid at nipples to bleed , obviously limiting valve closing so who's done it and what's the procedure ?
Pressure bleed probably shuts of valve quicker so should I pump pedal slowly or junk rear valve and replace with adjustable job somewhere ?
Tips or tricks please
Thanks

Use easibleed but open the nipple before connecting the easibleed to the tyre.

You want to bleed the cylinder that is furthest away from the master cylinder first. So Passengers side rear first, then drivers side rear and then the fronts. If its all brand new let it gravity feed through first. Open all te nipples up and fill the reservoir. It should feed through!

Just normal bleeding - there must be a blockage in the limiting valve. Top tip - move it up to the front bulkhead where it's easy to access it and adjust the limit setting.

Thanks for the input guys . This is a minispares s type limiting valve which leaked slightly from new so I torqued up the hex nut a little which stopped the leak to my knowledge this unit isn't adjustable.
The correct bleeding sequence has been used so I am going to try it again with rear drum nipples open but if I can't get it to bleed ill replumb the front to rear line and fit an adjustable limiter
Cheers

I did this very job on Paddy Wednesday. We jacked the rear of the car up then bled the rear brakes. Lowered the car the. Jacked the front up. Bled the front brakes (7.5") Cooper S Calipers)
This was done using an easi bleed and pumping the pedal. Brakes are now spot on. We went through approx 2.5 litres of oil bleeding all four corners. My system is the same as yours.
