This morning my oil pressure light kept coming on everytime the revs dropped to a slow idle.Thing is I also have an oil pressure gauge, and the lowest it's shown (when the light was on) was 50psi!

At about 850-900rpm it's around 50psi, above 1000rpm it's consistently 60psi (think it gets to 65psi when revved hard).

Faulty sender maybe? It's weird it seems to come on everytime the gauge drops below 60psi! I'm running Millers CTV for the last few months. Previously I used to run whatever 20/50 I could get, which used to sit at 40psi when idling, but that never used to trigger the oil pressure light!

As long as the gauge isn't stuck - goes back to zero with engine off - then it's just the switch.

Yep, gauge is acting exactly as I would expect it to, which is why I carried on driving to work.

Will try new sender then!
