cheers just tryed it and put the serial number in of old mot certificate and logbook and nothings coming up.you can check the mot history here:

Cheque or a postal order will be fine. Don't put cash in ithi i have got the v888 form printed of now. it says £5 fee. so i just need to no if i put £5 note in? or a £5 cheque? thanks tom

hi i have sent of for the history and i have not received anything yet and its been 2 weeks does it take longer than this? or do i hear anything of them? cheers tom

DVLA will take at least 2 weeks to reply with info.........you will get a copy of the full ownership history as long as you are the current registered keeper.

well i sent the logbook of 2 weeks before the history would that confuse them?

If you are not listed as owner when they do the actual history check they will probably return your £5 and you may have to re-send it when you get the V5 back in your name.......they won't give details to anyone but the current or a previous owner. Hopefully it will all work out ok!
