Also with the random spasms, the muscles in your back can stay on standby for as long as 10 years, ready to go into spasm at the drop of a hat. You just have to learn to read the signs, which you will get better at as time goes by. I've just passed the 10 year mark and hardly had a full on melt down for a few years now. I know when something wants to happen and just take it easy and keep an awareness of my posture until it passes.
