I have never sprayed a car before and am learning lots about prepping and various other things to take into consideration when painting a car.
My question, is it possible to spray a mini with an Earlex HV3000 or would you recommend trying to get a compressor witth an oil and water trap?
I am trying to watch my finances at the moment and can't really afford to shell out for a decent and suitable compressor that's up for spraying cars as well as all the extras that you would need to do so.
Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

the earlex HV3000 is prone to blocked jets... compressor is the way to go... change the oil on the compressor and drain it of water.. you can hire a compressor and airlines from a few company's.

I'm going to be having a go with one before too long.
You could do with a decent filter system if you're going to use a compressor.

I have painted a number of things with an Earlex spray station including two cars with cellulose, I found it ok. What I liked about it was the lack of masses of overspray, I did not cover the neighbours cars with paint and also its quiet. I have used a compressor before and it was a small one but it was very noisy as it was running a lot to keep up.
