Hello!

 

Is it possible to remove the tank on top the the brake master cylinder, from the cylinder housing?

 

Mine is this version

 

Just wanted to know because it would make painting and stuff easier

Yeah just pops off from some rubber donuts inside. Give it a wiggle and pull.
