Hi, I've got a 1973 Mini Clubman, just about to have him restored in early June, have had him in the family since 1988 and when dad passed I brought him to Cardiff in 2008 - he comes out once a year for MOT which is a shame so I've decided to have him done up so in 6 months to a year I can drive him every day and love him every day - the Clubbie is my surrogate dad and is named Mike after Mike .......   I have loved minis since I was knee high to a grass hopper but I haven't got a clue about anything mechanical  - I used to have a 1979 poo brown Mini 1000 and an Austin Mini Red Hot.   I am most impressed that many of you know how to use welders and with being a girl I am trying to pick up the mechanical lingo........I have just been reading the 15 year old lads mini project and when my little lad now 11 is old enough I would like him to get genned up on minis - maybe when he's 18 or 21 he can take over my Clubbie.....I'm looking forward to getting to Himley Hall on the 12th so I can see everybody's mini and get ideas and tips on engines, Mark 1 kits, exhausts, ICE, interiors and all things Mini - nice to meet you all.

old English white, panoramic BMW sun roof (see what my renovator says) , keeping my 10" wolfrace slot mags, engine kit conversion 1, black and cream seats, black and cream doors cards, black carpet, pretty dashboard, modern electrics, upgrade brakes, make it start every day without feel, get a tracker - joined the site to get ideas and I like the pretty bits :) the interior design, spending lots of the other half's hard earned wages.........:)   and I'm afraid I've hired a mechanic who does restores who is going to charge my hubby loads to do it.......
