Hi I have a 2000 w reg cooper and need to replace the doorstep and a little of the rear panel, cannanyonentell me if the mk3'one is the one that will fit please? Like this one? http://www.somerford...products_id=315

Yes it will fit, also have a look at M machine as they are doing their own door step panels.

You might find it doesn't have the dips later door steps do. You might want to ask them about that. They have two little dints in them.

You may have to get a Heritage door step panel for the indents but again they need to be contacted to see if they have them. They do not do a repair panel that includes the lower section of the rear quarter panel.
