Ive noticed that some peoples signatures are getting a touch on the large side. Particularly those with the MiniSelecta pictures.

 

Is there no sort of limit to the size of these?

Its because of the recent server move, the forum skin didn't migrate properly, they signatures haven't changed just are more visible, i think they are working on it but they have limited time available to tinker

jb  yours is the regular size

 

Mines still the same as well.

 

I guess it could be to do with the size of the members (ooo err Mrs!) picture file.

Alex_B yours is a good example!

 

If its to do with the server move then I suppose it will be fixed in good time. I just dont like filtering through signatures while trying to read posts!

Yes my sig is a good example indeed it used to just be the bonnet line upwards but now everyone has the pleasure of seeing it in full glory ;)

I'm probably going to impose an actual size limit this time instead of cropping like it used to.

Alex in all honesty that's far too big for a signature. It's practically a poster! Haha.

I prefer the cropping feature you had, when I uploaded it I preferred the cropped version 


and yes I am aware its hoooooge, I havent really had time to mess around with it, Uni assignments are coming out of my ears and battling to get the mini on the road for L2B ( the same time I have 5 assignments due in with a total of 12k words) but I will have a play and update the sig at somepoint

Ive seen a bigger one of a Mini Selecta. A white one. Cant remember the user though. It takes up twice the space of Alexs!

Signature height now a maximum of 120px, overflow is hidden.

In addition the maximum height for a signature image is now 120px.

It doesn't apply to existing signatures, but I might write a script to go through and remove any signature images which break this rule.

When I am supposed to be doing assignments tonight I will make a new one, I fancy a new signature anyway :)

  You can turn signatures off in your preferences.  I've had them turned off for years.
