hey guys i have a 1978 mini clubman 998cc A+ and i have a single HS4, lucas gold coil, 1098 camshaft, contact points, Stage 1 Kit and NGK BP6EY spark plugs.. now my question is what is a good contact point and spark plug gap for a setup like this? at the moment im just using the gap size thats in the manual but honestly its modified now so im guessing im not fully optimizing the coil and stage 1 kit? well any help would be really appreciated.. thanks in advance

You wont be able to open up the plug gaps without going to electronic ignition, and then you can open up the plug gap to 30thou + and experiment where is the best setting, missing then close the gap I'm running mine at 30thou.

That's what I do with my Cooper 'S' which runs point ignition and is putting out well over 100 bhp. It works fine.
