Hi everyone,

 

Can anyone give me some insight on the 3 connectors on the back of a MK1 ignition switch?  They are identified as 1,2,3...2 and 3 are double connectors.

 

I think 1 is a white/red cable off to the solenoid?  The remaining double connectors (2&3) I'm not quite sure...one of them should receive power from the fuse box?

 

What is the difference between connectors 2&3....is one receiving 12v, and one pushing out 12v?

I've just ordered a replacement ignition switch as well, and the wires were so short that I had difficulty telling which ones went where before taking the old one off.

 

Any info would be helpful.
