Hi there, 

ive found out that my current heater leaks and have got the one off my spares car, 

however the hoses are on different sides between the two and was just wandering if they would be straight swap ?

There are several types of heater matrix depending on the age of the car. You could take the matrix out of the spare and build it into your original heater with the hose outlets facing the correct way.
