Hi all,

I’m having issues with fuel leaking from the choke spindle only when engine is running. Any ideas what is causing this?

I have correct fuel pressure with engine not running, have double checked fuel bowl height and seem to be stuck!

Running a 1330 with a blow through set up help appreciated! cheers rob

Have you replaced the rubber seals in the choke mechanism?

There's nothing special about the choke on a turbo carb, as far as I'm aware. As Timmy said, the O rings are prone to failure & the difference with a turbo is the pressure can make them leak out as well as suck in.

Yes replaced them when I rebuilt the carb, no leaks when not under pressure from the supercharger. I’m thinking there’s too much boost for the carburettor to handle?

If it’s running on a suck through supercharger, then the carb doesn’t see any boost

If it's leaking externally fuel must be getting round or through 39

I replaced the spindle when I rebuilt with the correct o rings rubber seals turned round etc, do you think the boost pressure from the supercharger is too much for the carb to handle hence the leaking?

If it’s been assembled properly it should be fine with the boost of a supercharger. Turbo minis have stuffed way more boost through a HIF44 than a supercharger could manage
