I'll have a ticket. Probably just the one.

Are you definatley NOT going to the Riviera Run now?

Can someone PM me when tickets are on sale please? I say the spares should go with the car personally, as not everyone has a turbo car they could use the parts on, if you know what I mean

By doing the poll (on this topic) i ment that you could get a better idea of how many people would have a ticket, but if your deffinately going to raffle then it doesnt matter.

I like the ideas of the parts as other prizes, makes me more likely to get a ticket.

Sounds like fun but be careful. I am sure that this would be covered under the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976 and the National Lottery Act 1993. Boring as boring can be but you will probably need to apply for a licence.

I'd buy a ticket as long as you didn't have a problem helping to arrange shipping to canada "when" I win.

sounds like a good idea.

I will be going to riviera run, but in my nissan 180sx. which is a bit poo.. but nevermind.

Im sure a raffle cant be that much of a problem, and im sure if its kept to this board then nothing will cause a problem.

Ive seen raffles before, where cars have been put up. and as far as i know they've not got/bothered with licences. If this is going to be a problem then ill just have to do it elsewhere.

If it's a public raffle, then you are bound by the gaming laws, which are a complete minefield...

Good idea though, but for me to have a ticket I would want a published draw date, and also an indication of what would happen if you only sold 50 tickets..

I think if people "Applied" for a ticket, but didnt pay till the 200 had been allocated, and then the raffle didnt take place till they had all paid.
That way people dont pay just for the raffle not to take place,
and the raffle only takes place once the tickets had sold.
Otherwise you might get to the point of people paying and it not happening or not all tickets selling and the car going for less than intended (and i dont think mighty mini would want that).

If you ask me it should be a bit of a gamble for mighty mini as well.

After all if the all tickets sell he'll be getting £4000 for a car that he's only asking £3000 for. I definatly think that there should be a realistic deadline on it. (just have a get out clause if less than 150 tickets sell which equates to £3000 for example).

That sounds like the fairest way otherwise people could be waiting for an age!

The applying way of doing thing may work but it could be a problem extracting the money out of all the applicants - especially if it takes all the tickets a couple of months to go. If you got 3/4 of the people who applied to pay I think you'd be doing well (people change their minds frequently) and then you'd have a further delay while the unpaid for tickets were sold again.
