Firstly, sorry about my ignorance here guys - Im no mechanic so just trying to learn my way.....

Would someone please be able to identify what appear to be "holes or openings" on the pics and advise what they are, and if there should be anything attached? Seems a bit strange to me to have these openings that could allow foreign bits into the bowels so to speak!!!

Thanks in advance!

PS - in pic "B", Im assuming the hose which was just hanging loose should be attached to the pipe arrowed? The other end of the hose is attached to what looks like a cylinder attached to the back of the block!!

B is the overflow for the carb...normally a rubber hose attaches to that which then attaches to a rigid metal pipe fixed to the clutch housing...

C are for plumbing in a heated manifold ....not always used and some people do some don't ..

A and D are breather pipes not got those on mine so not sure where they attach.

One thing looks like the engines had some mods that looks like a timing belt not a chain, so aftermarket fitment

Looks a bit grubby though and never seen one so seems odd its open to all the ******* like that. certainly won't do the belt any favours

A+D air breathers, you need to fit either individual air filters or connect them to the carb via rubber hoses through a plastic T piece.
