Hello everyone.

For my Final Project at my college i had to make a promotional video for a client. I decided to make a promotional video for my local Mini club the Norfolk Mini Owners Club.

As my final piece of paper work i have to get audience feedback. Positive or negative, your choice. So if you could take a minute to pop a comment down below about what you thought of the video, if there was a part you particularly liked or didn't... it would help me out a lot!

I thank you all in advance!

P.S. Skip to about 20 seconds to miss the colour bars and countdown clock.

Thank you very much,

Iain.

Hi, if you want my honest criticisms, here goes.
It's not very lively, I did find myself yawning at times.
If you could get some faster, action footage along with some heavy guitar music, that would be great. The shot of the wheel on the rolling road would be great as a fill in shot. It would also be good idea to have a couple of people talking about the club; what it offers, how friendly the people are etc.

It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but for me that's what works really well. The thing with promotional videos is that they've got to keep the audience's attention throughout. It might actually be a good idea to shorten it a little bit. You have to bear in mind your target audience when doing this sort of thing, and your target audience is going to be drivers, of all ages. And Mini drivers are usually after excitement, otherwise they wouldn't have got a Mini. Hence my above suggestions.

Hope this helps.
Harry

Thank you very much for the feedback!

It was either going to be slow paced or fast, i chose slow pace from the style of edits that i was going to do.

I think if i was to make another one, i would go from the opposite style, like you said.

Thanks again

I like that! I'm quite a fan of the slow pace - summery, laid back, and refined. I think there's a good mix of static displays and runs out, Peter Baldwin making an appearance is a nice touch too.

The only thing I think might be a nice touch is if the NMOC logo at the end was in white and superimposed over the low light/sunset video footage. That way it'll still stand out but not mark a full stop on the video - the logo is in a very different style to the rest of the piece at the moment.

Matt.
