I have a pair of overriders I'd like to fit to one of my cars.
I got these off a MkII parts car a few years ago.

I'm missing the piece from the inside that, I think, clamps to the bumper.

 

I'm hoping someone may have a pic of this piece in use....maybe I can fabricate something to work.  ( They are available from Miinispares...but postage to CA is alot)  It looks like a fairly straight forward pice that could be duplicated......just need an installed pic.

You could get away with a rectangle piece of metal. Its purpose is to spread the load from the bolt across the bumper. If you screwed it against the bumper it would bend it.

The bracket does not just spread the load from the bolt. If you look carefully the bracket is angled so as to put the bolt at the correct angle to the bumper to stop the over rider coming loose or slipping off.

Any pics of how it's fitted.....tough to get a pic of it installed....I'm just not seeing in my mind how it goes together.

The first picture is very good for showing how the bracket pictured above is used.
It looks like there is another bracket that the bolt is going through....to thread into....is that correct?  If I welded a captive nut on the inside of the angled bracket (attached to the overrider)...that would serve the same purpose I imagine.
