After changing head gasket, and after first heat cycle, people are saying re torque the head,

My question is, do i do it in any specific order?

Thanks

Yes, it should be done in the same order as when first torquing the head down after changing the gasket I believe so anyway and even if you don't have to, I would any way just to be safe :-)

I think I am right there, if not, hopefully someone more qualified will be along shortly :-P

Hope that helps,

Rob

Yes definitely do it to the same order as tightening.  You aren't slackening all the nuts and then tightening them all, if you do that you will release the head.  You slacken and retighten each one in turn so it stays tight.

Do the tappetts need re-checking after re-torquing?
