Hi All,

My mini is squeeking from the front, worse when I go over a bumpy road.

I have had a new swivel joint, new shocks, and new tie bars.

I have greased all grease nipples.

The squeek is still there though and my question is would a perished top arm rebound rubber (flat and split) possibly cause the squeek ?

Both sides have had it ! I have ordered new rubbers.

It has Hi-Lows too and it is sitting very high.

Would lowering the suspension possibly help too ?

I have read that with Hi-Lows you really need upgraded rebound rubbers but they look like the original ones.

When I jacked the car up and took the wheel off there is quite a big gap between the top arm and the subframe, does this sound right ?

Thank you for your replies.

Kind Regards

Ian

Replied to your PM.

Rears are easy fronts are more involved & you will need a spring compressor
