the first one i went in doesnt seem like that long ago really (but it was!)

i went out with my dad in a brand new cooper sports pack on a demonstration day from "all electric garages" in halesowen, which was a rover dealership. its since been flattened and had an aldi built on it (what a surpise) it was in yukon grey with a a check roof.

this was probably around '97 i think. i was secretly thinking dad was going to buy the car for me when we got back, (as if that was going to happen!) for the next 12 months i really want to build a sports pack replica, but i soon got into 10" wheels and never have had one with 13s on. funny how your taste changes eh.

As far as I can remember, the first mini I went in was my first ministox, I was ten at the time and drove it around the field for a couple of hours before I hit a rock and took out the gear selector housing. Ended up rolling that mini and wrote it for when I was twelve, then I had 7 others (I think) until I had a year off, when I was 16 as I had to progress from the junior formulae to lightning rods. Then I got my road car for a local classic car auction, and I've loved for the past 3 years.
