I have this slightly worrying problem with my brakes. Every now and againg the brake pedal feels a little too spongy for my liking. And there has been to occasions where i have pressed the brake and the pedal has gone to the floor and the car has not slowed down at all. But if i pump the brake pedal, It firms up and normal brake is resumed. I noticed this a couple of weeks ago, but i swear it is happening more often now.

Any ideas

cheers

Elliott

Change the brake fluid then bleed the brakes first and see how that goes.

and check for fluid on the inside of your rear wheels when left overnight, your rear cylinders could be leaking

Might sound strange but how are ur wheel bearing up front? If they are worn, it could be letting the brake disk go out of round and push the brake pistons back in. That in turn pushed fluid back into the master so you assume you don't have a leak or anything like that. It actually happened to be but it was my drive shaft nut that came loose (it didn't have a cotter pin in it). I made a sharp turn, the wheels and disk got all out of round and then I had no brakes until I pumped a few times
