Hey guys and girls,

I'm planning on putting a new engine in my mini. I will be using a A+ 1275 metro block, head and internals.

My current engine is an A+ standard 998 from a 1991 rover city

So i was wondering what can i swap across and what new bits will i have to buy?

Will I need a new dizzy or are they the same?

can i use the same rad, fan etc?

what about clutch? will my verto clutch fit and be up to standard?

do i need to change my drop gears?

Any advice would be much appreciated

Thanks Matt

The transfer gear on the end of the crank nose is a different size bore on the 1275 to the 998, so you will need the 1275 setup, gearbox will fit and the flywheel. the distributor will have different advance curve on the 1275, and if your rads in good condition then use that and alll the other bolt on is the same, remember the 1275 block is 1//2"taller so check the exhaust fitment to bulkhead clearance but a LCB for a 1275 or the cooper type for that model will be ok.

Starter will swap over as well
