Hi Everyone,
Here I'm selling my sister's Mini Sprite. She's owned it since she was 17, so it's been with us for a decade now.
She got herself a modern car a few years ago, so her Sprite has just been sat in the garage. We've now decided that it's not going to get used, so it's better that it moves on to someone else now. There have been plenty of Mini's in the family over the years and this will reduce our collection to just one!
When my sister did use the Sprite, it was her everyday, all year run-about. Due to this, the bodywork has suffered. Basically, it could do with a new front end. I'll go into more detail below.
I've pulled it out of the garage, done a little maintenance and it has gone through the MOT with a pass straight away. The engine runs super smoothly and starts easily. It pulls strongly too.
Good Points
- 63, 271 miles
- 12 Months MOT
- Brand new genuine rubber springs fitted about 3 years ago, very few miles since
- New KYB dampers fitted at the same time
- Good tyres all around, 2x Yoko A359s fitted to rear
- Great engine, starts well, pulls strong
- Generally standard with very few modifications
- Good interior
- Front callipers rebuilt with new seals and stainless steel pistons
- Solid underneath - it's had a few patches to the sills, but generally solid.
Bad Points
- Needs a new front end including lower scuttle and a-panels
- A few other areas of rust to deal with (below rear right light unit)
I'm sure there are more positives and negatives, but that's all I can think of right now. I'll add more things as I think of them.
