Has anyone tried making their own wiper bush, specifically the inner one (mk3 up)? What material did you use?

 

I lost mine and having a hard time swallowing the roughly £9 (EACH!) + shipping price tag.

I dare say you could find some suitable plaggy pipe, an offcut of that yellow underground gas pipe maybees? Or rubber hose and bind or sleeve it in summet non-stretchy to make it less squishy.
