Got the carb of my mini (HS4) to renew the needle valve and give it a bit of a clean up and the fuel pipe came out of the bottom of the float bowl,cant see how its held in, theres a kind of gland nut and a washer behind it(they have both come off the pipe,)could i carefully slightly bell the end of tyhe pipe, after putting the nut and washer back on of course.Cheers Martin.

I think its only held in with an o ring anyway
Push pipe into floatchamber and screw in the nut, nut squishes rubber ring holding it in

This is not the jet for your carb but the picture shows you what the end hat goes onto th float bowl should look like.

There is a rubber washer that the brass washer pushes against that seals around the plastic pipe. Have a look in e threaded hole in the float bowl and you might see this rubber stuck in the bottom.
So you need the gland nut, the brass washer, then the rubber washer on the end of the pipe, with about 1/8 inch of plastic pipe showing, then push the pipe into to float bowl and wind the gland nut into its thread. Tightening it should compress the rubber washer. This in turn grips the pipe, holding it tightly and effecting the seal.
These seals can deteriorate. Somerford Mini sell spare seals
