Looks great, am I right in thinking that the South African Elf/Hornet bodies had the standard Mini front?

we never had the elf or the hornet.

when they are available overseas we had what was called a WOLSELEY 1000 which is a mini with a WOLSELEY nose (no boot)....

when the ELF/HORNET was discontinued overseas, the shipped the dies here and for 3 years made the AUSTIN MINI MK3 which is a ELF/HORNET with a regular mkII nose (but retains the awesome bumpers and some of the chrome work).

it is a south african only model

i am in the process of building a 1275 to replace the worn 998 but i have a separate subframe to build that on...

going to make the engine bay look as much like a cooper s engine bay as possible - already got that horrible green paint!

she is in need of at least an exterior respray, which i may do in sections but in 3 or 4 years going to need a complete stripdown respray :(

but she is lovely

which required this...

leading to...

really really HATE the colours the engine is painted :(
