Henry, our RSP was driven today by Brian Johnson with Paddy Hopkirk giving him some tips.  It was on the public highway so it should have been relatively tame, although Henry is covered in dirty water marks (roof too), and from what I can understand, they didn't drive him sedately!

The programme with be on the Discovery Chanel (don't know when), and the series is called Pedal to the Metal with this episode being about Mini.  They were also filming at MINI Plant Oxford today and I know that Brian interviewed a Plant associate who is also a TMF member (don't know his forum name).

When the crew brought Henry home they were most apologetic as while they weren't looking, Brian and Paddy had signed Henry's bonnet stripes!  My husband who's owned Henry from new is not best pleased, but I think it looks good (he's dirty so the signatures will look better when they've had a careful clean).  Our son is over the moon, so we might end up getting Henry a new bonnet so he can be restored to standard, and our son can have the bonnet in his bedroom, if there is room!

Hi James - I'd forgotten your user name!

I'm hoping after Jason's read this thread he'll realise he's lucky and stop moaning about it!  All a bit ironic after he did this to my Mini today!

Ooooooooh how did he manage that?!?

That bonnet is too cool8). I'd run it! Or maybe swap the stickers out to a non original bonnet and return the car to stock8)

I'm not entirely sure as he's on his way back from the IMM and so I don't have the full story.  In short, his wheel fell off. :(  Here they are doing a temporary repair before they limped to garage

Ha ha A-Cell!  Jason did say in retaliation, he would find Paddy's Mini and sign it's bonnet to see how he liked it!  I did point out that in the Mini world, Paddy was a little more recognised and popular than him, so it wasn't exactly the same thing!

Looks nasty. Hope they were OK. Strangely it looks like all 4 wheel studs have sheared off. Hope it gets sorted Ok. Make sure he gets the LH side checked too. You never know.

Yes, he's got it sorted, well the wheel reattached and I'm certain that he will have had all the wheels checked at the same time.  He said it was not a pleasant experience or one he wished to repeat!

Glad he's OK. Damage does not look too bad, considering what happened, so easy enough to sort out.
Best wishes, Jim
