hi, i'm joseph abela aka nossedout from malta, 

about a year and a half ago i bought an early mk4 1977 malta built mini with only 30k original miles on the clock. she's original except a driver's side oversill (which ruined the floor board....will get to that later).

she had some usual rust spots but noting major. first inspections were that she was pretty solid from underneath but after grit blasting all changed. both front floorboards need to be changed as well as the driver's side mudguard and inner wing.

 

the cause that the floor boards needed to be changed as from the factory, they did not put underseal hence rusting out.

 

she was featured in june/july 2012 mini world edition as barn find mini.

thanks miniac94! will post some more photos hopefully by tuesday. i started repairing the flitch panels yesterday but cannot continue as the car is on the sister island of malta ( she's in gozo and i'm in malta for my schooling- will be back in gozo hopefully next weekend!)

I saw some lovely mini's on Malta & Gozo when on holiday last year.

Should be coming over again this september
