Hello all,

I have an issue with the setting of my HS6 on my 1275 cc engine.

I have been having startup issues and after working on it for 4 hours today trying to start it, I am quite frustrated.

Is anybody else out there running a 1 3/4" SU on their standard 1275 cc engine ? I am lead to believe the HS6 is not a standard Mini SU.

I'm familiar with adjusting the mixture while running by lifting the SU piston up (via the lever on the bottom), listening for an increase / decrease in revs, and reducing / increasing mixture as required. However, at start up, I'm after the initial settings for mixture, fast idle, and idle.

Mixture: I understand the bridge must be flush with the nut, when the case is removed. I have done this.

Fast idle / idle: Any ideas ?

The best my engine currently does is that it fires once, and cuts out.

I am contemplating changing the HS6 for a HS4 (single / twin - not sure), however, i'll leave this for another thread, I understand there are already quite a few threads on this topic.

B

I'll give it a go however I think the internals of my choke are stuffed.

Any ideas how to troubleshoot a damaged choke ?
