Am I right in thinking the technical expertise offered on the forum has increased dramatically over the years? I seem to remember when I joined in 2004 we all used to chip in with what we thought were the right answers, while there were a few real experts who would then come up with the goods. Nowadays I'm stunned by the depth of engineering knowledge that pours forth. I humbly shut up.

Also I'm very pleased that questions about the BMW "mini" are now answered at least politely and in most cases usefully.

Tmf seems to have grown up a lot. Or have I just come to know that I know nothing?

Definitely.  We have some really knowledgeable people here now.  It's matured nicely I think, and is a very different place.

Even the few years that i have been a member of the forum i have seen a change for the better. Yes we still get a few members who like to stray from the rules or push them to the limits but there is a very broad range of knowledge now that covers virtually everything Mini related.

The issues with the way folks replied to New MINI owners questions have hopefully been put to bed as quite a few of the members on here own them themselves. We as the Forum are MINI tolerant and now we can answer a lot of their questions and if not we can redirect them to the relevant websites that can.

Upwards and onwards.
