The verto clutch kits are pricey but you can pick up New old stock verto clutch plates etc on eBay much cheaper. Is it worth buying the bits of eBay or should I just pay the £70 plus?
The mini is a 1990 city and the New engine is out of a 84/85 metro (both 998cc) g

I usualy use 2nd hand verto stuff apart from the friction disc and haven't had any issues, and thats for high power turbo stuff whew I pull 2 apart and put both springs on one unit.
for the friction disc I use the minispares 190mm rally plate (AHT594 IIRC)

I have read some bad things about verto clutches so wasn't sure if I should mix and match parts.
Apart from minispares is there any other makes people recommend?
