Iv got a webasto sunroof and honestly i cant see how it would work. The roof as it slides back folds and raises up so it will probably catch on the roof rack.

 

but then i could be completely wrong.

i have done this, however my roof rack clamps on to the roof gutter

I have a webasto sunroof on my GT and have no problems when I fit my works roof rack.

yup you can kinda slide it back, though i dont know how good it is for the roof!

If you are still looking for a roof rack to fit over your sunroof, you must check out this custom fabricator: http://massivelymini...nice-racks.html

 

And then look at slides 6-11 here: http://www.pedroracks.com/bug.html where he's designed a rack to be completely functional with a folding according top on a VW Bug.

 

When I inquired about getting one for my Mini in late 2012, Pedro promptly emailed me back, writing:

 

     Hi Jim

     No Problem!  [It's] $425 [for a] roof rack

     Just let me know how high from the roof you will need to clear the ragtop - No Extra cost just because is a little higher.

     About the [gutter] locks YES they are Aval.  $40

     $50 shipping [anywhere in the US] thru Greyhound

Hi guys,

This is a bit late of a reply but here is mine with a roof rack I built. The rear is a bit higher to let the roof open without touching the surfboard.

Hope it's helps a bit
