right then, i need a new set for the mini (on 10s) whats would be best for sprinting and hill climbs. the biggest problem is that at some events we are aloud the list 1b's and other events only let us use list 1a in the road going class. so i need a set from each really.  list 1a choices are,

yoko A008, falkens or dunlop aquajets

list 1b's are,

yoko ao32, dunlop r7, dunlop d93j or avon cr6zz

so opinions please of course if anybody has any other suggestion im all ears

thanks rob

I would go Yoko's in both or if budget is not a problem, Yoko's in 1a and Avons in 1b

I don't know about 10" but on 13" yoko do a "medium" compound 048, vs the standard one which is hard. They will wear out quick but should be ideal for sprints, so look out for those, or the same compound on other Yoko tyres.

For 1A there's nothing to touch A008s, I really wish I could get some for 12s or 13s. I think the Falkens are pretty hard, and I know A539s are.

For sprinting / Autotesting I use Yoko A008's for 1A  and 32R for list 1B. Works for me!  However I have not really used any other 1A's to compare against the 008's, only to say they are horrible compared to the directness and grip of 888's !!!     But then they should be!   As Adam says, I suspect A008's are the best 1a's and at £50 each they are cheap.   I will be using mine at the Brooklands Double Twelve probably, I will let you know what I discover.

I'll be at the 12/12 too, just waiting to see what they want me to do on the Saturday out of the two events (Sundays is the autotest), I did ask for the Sprint regs (only found out about this after the press day announcement and was originally entered in the concours) saying I was happy to do it but not turn up and fail scrutineering because there was a requirement for this event I wasn't aware of (such as tyre type) but no one ever got back to me, the last email I got from them said I had an entry for the Sprint, lets see what they say :-)

Just looking on minisport and I realised I'd got this wrong, "standard" 048s are medium and they do a soft compound as well.

Well now Lee and I have done our tyre test at the 12/12 I can confirm that 32R's are slightly quicker than D93J's :-)
