This year is the first year I will be heading over to Brighton l2b run actually in a mini and not going there to buy parts for one lol. My question is, do I actually have to be in the mini run from l2b to be able to join the que down the ramp to park down on the main strip be it down the far end ? Thanks Rhys

You need your LtoB ticket and be driving a Mini or MINI......if you don't go to Crystal Palace you can pick up your run pack from LSMOC stand at Brighton later. You can park on Madeira Drive if you have the 'B' part of your ticket.

Last year I, and a few other from our club, had run tickets but didn't go from Crystal Palace. The other cars from the club were at the club stand so we joined the convoy from Essex direct to Brighton in the morning.

We arrived in Brighton at around 9 am and the cars on the club stand went in Madeira Drive via the pier entrance, we carried on by Marine Parade to the general tickets holders entrance (Dukes Mount) and were asked to wait for a while. At 10 o'clock, if I remember correctly, they let us in Madeira Drive and then we collected our run pack later on from the LSMOC stand...

I hope this helps.

EDIT: the only way of parking at Madeira Drive is if you're a ticket holder, if you don't have one you need to find somewhere else to park.

This doesn't really help, but the only time I have been down, I went in a mini but didn't have an official run ticket (I believe I didn't realise I needed one at the time - who could possibly charge you for driving London to Brighton after all?!) and I had to find some side street parking somewhere - which was actually too bad. When I returned to the car, it was blocked in. It took me a lot of backwards and forwards to get out, and there were a few people who stopped to watch as they didn't think I would do it.

This year I am going by train. I do't have a mini on the road, and if I go by train, it stops me buying too many things that I don't actually need at the moment.
