First off, i know they have to be slightly different ( the bowl on left and right).. But if i could get hold of one of each, would i be able to make twins? i cant see why not, but i may be missing something. If i could, what would i need, throttle and choke linkage, is their anything else? thanks
Is It Possible To Make Twin Hs4's From Two Singles?

The 'other' carb on a twin SU set up is totally handed, its not just the bowl. Its a complete mirror image. If you used two 'singles' it would be difficult to fabricate a linkage to both chokes and throttles. Unless you found the other 'hand' carb as you say. otherwise there would be a whole carb in the way!

The front and rear carb bodies are different castings. As said the linkage would be problematic.

It could be done providing the inlet manifold could be modded to get the clearance and you can fabricate the new linkages ect...
2 HS4's is slightly overkill any way...
