Hello everyone,

I'm coming to the end of the rebuild on my mini thirty, it now has a metro 1275 (mg metro I think by looking at the size of the valves). The engine has a minispares evolution 001 camshaft, csi electronic ignition and lcb stage 2 exhaust and pancake filters on the carbs.

I've used winsu and its recommended using adj needles which look very lean to me. Apparently the special tuning twin su used BG which is much richer.

Could anyone please give me some advice on what needles to use, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Ben.

Are you planning to run fixed or swing needles in the twin HS2's?

Sorry typo on the title, I'm running twin 1 1/2"

The needles in them are fixed (no spring) can you change between the two?

Thanks.

I think you're right that ADJ needles would be too weak for twin HS4's even using red springs.

On the other hand I don't think your spec will need anything like BG's, these are very rich.

As a starting point you could try 7's with blue springs until you get to a r/r.

Ok thanks, do you know how many flats the adjusting nuts should be turned for initial starting, think its 12 for single carb but not sure about twins.

Thanks.

12 flats down from flush is a good staring point for the non-Waxstat type jets
