Sorry if its already been covered a squillion times !!
Will a vvc setup with either the PG1 or R65 box squeeze into an mpi mini with no body mods?
I'd consider it if its just a subframe & shoehorn it in, but I don't want to lengthen the wings.
I converted a few of my metro gti's back in the day to run the 143 engine & management with a 1600 clutch & r65 box. I'd love my mini to eventually run similar.

Nope it either involves recessing the bulkhead or extending the front end plus major subframe mods.

The pg1 box fits with no body mods in a standard round nose only the inner wings taking back and the r65 fits with only a small box on the toe board for the gear linkage rods you only need To extend the front if you use a non mini based frame ie metro or mgf

A vvc with pg1 will fit in a standard roundnose with no bulkhead mods.
However you will have to build a customs frame using the mini towers and chop and nibble the front end around to get it to fit.

other than the intercooler, I have a turbo k under standard mpi mini front, and no bulkhead mods.
