I just bought a 1962 Austin countryman "woodie" project car. It's been sitting for a number of years before I got it. The shifter feels like its shifting between gears however it rolls like its in natural. I have no idea where to start with this issue. Any suggestions on what's going on or how to go about remedying this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would start by taking the gear linkage apart. On a 1962 it will be remote change.
