is there not a insurance company that will do temporary car insurance for modified minis?

i want to drive the mini to brands hatch this year but i already have a modern car, i cant take out 2 policies as that would be ridiculously costly.

im 18 and live in kent, have 1 years no claims.

looking for 1 day to 3 months insurance on a slightly modified mini mayfair 1989

my research

1. temp cover do, for 18+ drivers but not for modified cars :/

2. most over temp cover companies don't start insuring until your 21+

thats it really, has anyone else got any other suggestions?

Phone your current insurers and ask to add another car for a few weeks, cost me £26 for a month when I did it a while ago

Temp cover at 18 is way too expensive, would be better off ringing some insurance companies and saying its your second car and you only do a few thousand miles

hmm

i asked about a very limited mileage policy, they said it wouldn't change the price by much...

and about adding a few weeks on, you have to already have a policy which i don't want to take out as it wouldn't be worth it

As above, add it as an additional vehicle for a few months
